The name of this organization shall be the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools NHS. Section 2. The purpose of this organization shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools.

NASSP shall not review the judgment of the Faculty Council regarding selection of individual members to local chapters. Note 1.
